Software Developer at Nayad

Following my consolidated experience in managing public administration and spatial data (Tecnoteca) and building enterprise architectures for Luxury Retail (Retail Reply), my career path evolved toward Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems engineering at Nayad Srl.

In this role, I focus on developing, extending, and optimizing modular ERP solutions, bridging backend business logic in Python (Odoo), high-performance relational databases (PostgreSQL), and reactive user interfaces in Angular.

1. Backend & Business Logic: Advanced Customization with Python and Odoo

The core of business operations lies in the ERP’s ability to accurately reflect operational workflows. My main backend focus centers on the Odoo ecosystem, one of the most versatile and extensible open-source ERP frameworks globally.

Using Python, I am responsible for:

  • Custom Module Development: Designing tailored extensions to reshape and expand native ERP workflows (sales management, purchasing, inventory, invoicing, and accounting).
  • Data Modeling & PostgreSQL: Structuring complex ORM models, optimizing relational queries, enforcing integrity constraints, and tuning performance in PostgreSQL.
  • Business Workflow Automation: Implementing conditional business logic, scheduled actions (cron jobs), and automated workflows to reduce manual overhead.

2. Frontend & User Experience: Integration and Interfaces with Angular

To ensure backend complexity translates into a smooth and responsive user experience, my frontend work focuses on integrating Angular components.

In this area, key responsibilities include:

  • Reactive UI Development: Building high-performance dashboards, custom views, and UI components in Angular.
  • API Integration & Data Binding: Enabling asynchronous communication between the web client and the Odoo backend via API services and two-way data binding.
  • UX/UI Optimization: Streamlining navigation across management panels to accelerate data entry and operational reporting consultation.

3. System Integration and Process Vision

Working with an ERP system demands a systemic approach: a single change in one module directly impacts accounting, logistics, and resource management.

My methodological approach at Nayad is built on:

  • Operational Requirements Analysis: Translating the needs of various business departments into clear technical and architectural specifications.
  • Interoperability & APIs: Connecting the ERP with external third-party services, payment gateways, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Code Maintainability: Applying clean design patterns and thoroughly documenting customizations to ensure long-term scalability and smooth updates.

Conclusion

My position at Nayad Srl represents the consolidation of my expertise in enterprise and management software development. Combining the calculation power and data-modeling capabilities of Python/Odoo on the backend with the modularity of Angular on the frontend allows me to manage end-to-end projects on high-impact ERP systems, further strengthening my profile as a full-stack developer specialized in complex software architectures.
